Driving to Zagreb

Back to normal temperatures today after another very hot night. We drove through Hungary towards Croatia, beside Lake Balaton, 72 kms long. We stopped for coffee at a village called Tihany which was very cute - full of thatched cottages and places selling wine, lavender and pottery. Then we went through part of Slovenia and came to a border crossing with Croatia. We needed to show our passports which involved unpacking our suitcases (rummage, rummage - holding up the queue!) because we stowed them away in Paris and haven't needed them since! Arrived in Zagreb, got a lovely apartment, walking distance from the town centre. Saturday night in Zagreb, out to dinner...where did we go? Maccas! Will find something better tomorrow :-)
