Bagnoregio and Lake Bolsena

Today we had a little tiki tour.  First we left Orvieto and drove 18kms to a village where we parked for the nearby village of Bagnoregio.  There was no indication from the car park which way to go...

...but eventually we found it.  Actually one sign would have been enough!

Already 36 degrees we walked for about 15 mins...

...until we came to this view!

We continued until we were closer, about another 10 mins, then decided not to walk up to the village as it was very hot, getting crowded and we didn't have time.  Back at the car we headed for Lake Bolsena, formed by a volcano crater.

We found a shady spot by the Lake to eat an early, and rather unappealing lunch before driving back to join the motorway near Orvieto and heading to Rome.  We found our apartment and the host explained where we could find free parking nearby.  Now we are waiting for Faith, Quentin and Elizabeth to get here from London.
