Murchison Walks

After a day of rain and a morning of grey clouds the weather cleared a bit this afternoon so we did two walks near Murchison.  The first was up the side of a hill, giving views down into the town.  The second was through beech forest but the river crossing didn't have a bridge....

Malcolm wasn't bothered about wet feet so he walked through and went further up the mountain to an area of rockfall from the 1928 Murchison earthquake.

The walk was through mossy beech forest like this...

with tree section stepping stones through the boggy bits.
