Looking down from the Port Hills to the Lyttelton Harbour
The weather is very unpredictable here. Yesterday it was quite cold and got so windy in the afternoon that when we pegged our sheets out to dry they were flapping so wildly and horizontally that even with 100 pegs in each one I suspected they might end up in Ashburton. Today it was really hot and mostly very sunny - not complaining. We drove out to Akaroa, taking the Dyers Pass and Summit Road over the Port Hills. We stopped at Little River for coffee, then after spending some time in Akaroa (with a million cruise-ship passengers we decided to do some more old pub (or possibly cider) research at Duvachelle.

This was also at Little River - a surreal nativity scene in the old railway station craft coop
