Another cave, another pub

Today we said goodbye to Golden Bay. We stopped at the top of Takaka Hill to visit Ngarua Caves. This was mum and dad affair, nothing slick. The trip through the cave system takes about 45 mins - and there are actual moa bones in the place they were found, having fallen through a pot hole. Then into the cafe/shop for coffee and cake. It was mid-afternoon before we got back to Nelson and we decided to park over at the English-style pub we visited before when we were cycling, the Honest Lawyer. So we had a drink and we're heading in there for dinner this evening. We realised that they have changed the rules for staying in the WOW carpark (overnight only when they are closed) - we didn't read up the info in our motorhomes association book and happily stayed there several nights last time! whoops. So we decided to stay here this time - it is a POP so free.
