We drove to Niagara-on-the-Lake, another pretty, quaint Canadian town. The streets were pretty with plantings and hanging baskets and the stores were full of interesting things. Many of the buildings were heritage sites, even Starbucks.
This was just a corner of a hat shop we spent some time investigating.
Canadian humour?
We spent several hours at Fort George at Niagara-on-the-Lake. We learned all about the war of 1812 between the USA and Great Britain when Canada's existence hung in the balance.
A musket-firing demonstration.
View of Fort George from the blockhouse tower.
Heading up to the next level, nearly as bad as some of the European towers we went up!
More Canadian food experiences :-)
