More forests and lakes

Today we did a short walk with 2 'peaks' - otherwise known as lumps of rock - which gave us views of a lake. There certainly are a lot of lakes in Canada!

Woodpecker

We left Manitoulin Island over the Little Current bridge and drove north. This was really pretty scenery, reminiscent of Scandinavia.

Whitefish Falls

A nice lake just south of Espanola.  This would have been a good place to try freedom camping but it wasn't even lunch time and we still had a way to go, so we continued on our way.

Driving east took us to Sudbury where we are camped beside yet another lake.  The picture above is in Sudbury itself, we are camped a few kms away. After the cold weather of a few days ago we are now back in our summer clothes, it has been hot today.

We don't have wine glasses but did manage to buy wine (they don't sell it in supermarkets) so just had to drink it from tumblers.  Tonight's campsite is, for once, not in a wooded area.
