We drove along the
Chemin Du Roy from Trois Riviers to Quebec City. This road follows the St Laurent River,
passing through pretty villages, farmland and woodland. The following day we visited Montmorency
Falls (83 metres - so higher, though not wider - than Niagara falls). After exploring the Falls we drove over to
the Ile D'Orleans (34 kms to drive the circuit around the island). It was extremely picturesque but
unfortunately the roads were narrow and had no shoulder so we couldn't stop to
admire the view in many places. There
were lots of strawberry fields and apple orchards - we stopped at a ciderie for
tastings :-)
