screwy optical illusion
After leaving Cromwell we drove to Wanaka and freedom parked just up the road to the Cardrona Range/Queenstown.  There had been fresh snow on the mountains (not very summery but it did make them pretty).  We spent quite a few hours at Puzzling World - they have a huge 3D maze (takes 1/2 - 1 hr to get to all 4 corners) and a whole area of illusions - some to look at like holograms and others you go in, like a tilted room where everything on the walls is strange - a water feature running upwards because it isn't actually horizontal but you can't tell.  They also have a room full of tables with puzzles on them for you to play with.  As a tourist attraction I'd recommend it.
