Rum and coke time

Today we have had totally blue skies the whole day and warm!  We are not used to it anymore!  We took the car and explored Alexandra and Clyde, very picturesque old gold mining towns.  I've been to Clyde before and remembered how picturesque it was.  We drove back to Alexandra along a back road (past Sam Neill's winery) and then up to a view point looking down on the town.  After lunch on the bus we drove via Cromwell (running out of water in the tanks, had to fill up!) and came to our latest freedom camping spot beside Lake Dunstan near the turn for Bendigo.  It was 32 degrees in the bus when we got here though probably 10 degrees cooler outside.  Still hot enough for the sun to start burning our feet as the shadows moved as we drank our rum and cokes.  It's a hard life!
