A relaxing day in Antequera, visiting the Alcazaba, adjacent church and roaming around the town. The area where we are staying is the oldest and nicest part but the rest of the town has lots of old buildings too - apparently there are 30 churches (not counting any disused or ruins). Above entrance to the Alcazaba and church square.
The town with the amazing mountain called Lovers Leap in the background -to us it looked like a face in profile
castle walls and towers...
We walked across town later, to the park in the middle distance and back to our airbnb - looking for a supermarket to buy salad and wine for dinner
The church, opened in 1550
This contraption is pulled around in fiestas - it's faith overcoming the deadly sins represented as serpents
one of the many churches and squares in the town
