Leaving Calungra we drove south to Natural Arch at Springbrook National Park. This is a loop walk past a waterfall that cascades through a natural stone arch.
Then south again through mountains...
...and into New South Wales.
We had lunch at Byron Bay, had a look at the beach and town before driving up to Cape Byron...
...where we walked up to the lighthouse,
saw the most eastern point of Australia...
...and watched humpback whales migrating past the cape. They were breaching and flipping their flukes, quite an amazing sight!
