This is a beautiful spot but unfortunately the weather has turned bad. A cold, grey day today and rain and showers predicted for the next 10 days. This is Karitane, north of Dunedin - the sea on our doorstep.
It is a protected estuary with a sand bar and a sandy (ocean) beach curving north.
That's us in the middle. There is a track beside the beach around the headland, where there are blowholes, cliffs and views up and down the coast.
Wearing our winter clothes!
