Today we went on the most amazing drive from Picton, through the roads of the Marlborough Sounds, to Titirangi Bay. This looks out past a lot of islands towards the North Island. Then we drove along the north side of Kenepuru Sound, looking down to Manaroa and along to St Omer before turning back. Malcolm was basically driving along narrow, windy, gravel roads for 8 hours! There were lots of slips and people working on clearing the roads. The other day they had 100mm rain in an hour, we were told.  We slithered through mud, while diggers were getting out the way for us.  Fun!!
