Before we left Takaka we checked out Pupu Springs - which are natural cold water springs - very deep, clear and blue. Since we were here last time they have put in new walkways and boardwalks.
We drove north to Collingwood and parked the bus while we looked around the village. It is thriving - it now has a small supermarket, another shop, some galleries...
and a pub with nice gardens where we had lunch.
Then we drove on to a POP (park over property)about 1 km from the road, through a farm and right beside the beach. 360 degree views.
This is the beach just the other side of the dunes and shrubs from the parking spot, looking back into Golden Bay.
