Leaving the North Island behind

In the Marlborough Sounds
We had an early start today, we got up at 6.00am and drove down to the ferry. We had breakfast while waiting to drive on board. Arrived at Picton by 12.00pm and were parked up at our favourite paddock by 12.15. It is quite a big area with lots of trees and only about 10 mins from Picton so very convenient. We plan to stay here for a few days and explore the Sounds by car. It is a good base.
