Shine Falls

Some of a flock of sheep that were blocking the road on the way to Shine Falls - typical rural NZ

Here's one Malcolm was chatting to later

We went to Shine Falls which is the highest waterfall in the Hawkes Bay.  It is inland from where we are camped at Lake Tutira in the Maungaharuru Range.  After a drive along interesting roads we got to the start of the walk which has high cliffy outcrops beside the track.  Then you go through some nice native bush to the falls.  It was a 1 and 1/2-2 hour (return) walk.
