We went to Shine Falls which is the highest waterfall in the
Hawkes Bay. It is inland from where we
are camped at Lake Tutira in the Maungaharuru Range. After a drive along interesting roads we got
to the start of the walk which has high cliffy outcrops beside the track. Then you go through some nice native bush to
the falls. It was a 1 and 1/2-2 hour
(return) walk.
