The Tuia 250 fleet were in Whangarei this weekend. The Endeavour replica ship from Australia was there to celebrate 250 years since Captain Cook's arrival on our shores and the voyaging canoes (waka) celebrate the discovery of New Zealand/Aotearoa by Polynesian people. Above is the Hainui waka.
