Just some local things this week...
the mural is from the Whangarei Town Basin. I walked up the Ross Track to the summit of Mt Parihaka a couple of times this week. It is nice native bush with a waterfall and kauri trees.

Sunny autumn afternoon - we went to the Quarry Arts Centre and looked around...
...lots of sculpture and quirky stuff amidst the plants.
This is at the adjacent Quarry Gardens. It is a new sculpture by Chris Booth and is designed to rot and erode over time.
We strolled around admiring all the plants.
